“I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse: Choose life, then."
The Archdiocese of Chicago Respect life Office recognizes the efforts of local college and university students to build a culture of life and is committed to assisting young adults in their quest to create a better world. The College Outreach Program offers support and resources to empower Chicago-area students to proclaim the truth and sanctity of human life from conception to natural death—through Prayer, Ministry, Community and Activism.
- Prayer is the foundation upon which we build our Respect Life Work—this intimate relationship with God fosters strength and perseverance as we continue to establish a culture of life.
- Ministry entails reaching out to our peers in love, creating a community of support and guidance. Laid upon the cornerstone of prayer, ministry is that aspect of the Respect Life movement in which we build relationships, continually seeking God’s will in all things.
- Community is composed of those with whom we share our pro-life sentiments. The relationships we build through prayer and ministry foster our community.
- Education and Activism are the fruits of prayer, ministry and community. Once these are solid and established, we have the ability to reach out to one another, constantly challenging ourselves to learn more and do more in the fight for a culture of life.
